earth mama

Capturing this gorgeous mama with her loving husband and baby boy on the way was an absolute dream. Everything about this session was magical from the setting to the two amazing people that stood in front of my lens. I was overjoyed to help Amanda capture her pregnancy and document the anticipation of their fourth child. Amanda and I have been friends since our first borns were in preschool and I have admired her sense of style and creativity ever since. This was not the first time we worked together, but this time was different...she had a vision...woods, white, flowers in her hair (she made that gorgeous flower wreath). I could not wait! I knew together we could create something beautiful and capture this special and fleeting time in a most unique way. She was such a trooper from climbing trees, to laying in trails, to balancing on logs...this must be baby #4, right?! I am so looking forward to meeting their newest bundle due any day!

all in the family

The month of August was a busy month for my family and a special one too. My brother and his family were visiting from Spain. We had beach days, bbq's, sleepovers, and lots of good cousin time, something we don't get very often with them living overseas. We took to Odiorne Point one evening for some good old family portraits. The kids did their thing, as kids will do. It was crazy at times, I probably don't need to tell you that, but definitely worth it. I hope they know how lucky they were to have their grandmother and great grandmother there as well. My brother and family have since returned home to Spain, all of us back to our daily routines, yet I don't think a day has gone by without my kids and I reminiscing about our adventures together or chatting about who gave the best hugs. We miss them and are so glad we have these pictures and many others to look back on.

sun sand sea & home

It was a beautiful, peaceful morning getting to know this sweet trio. Mom and dad are totally smitten with their baby girl and it was great to be able to document the love between them. We held their session at the beach and at home, making the most of our time together. Mom came prepared with outfit changes and meaningful props and the rest just fell into place. I love the rugged beach locations this area has to offer. Little Boar's Head has quickly become my most requested location with its cozy cottages, fish houses, stonewalls, gardens and more. It lends diversity in an otherwise ordinary place. Many of my clients request the beach which typically has one background, beautiful, but sometimes limiting. Places like Little Boar's Head provide so much more. And I love that the second half of our session occurred in the home. The nursery is right out of a magazine and this family's relaxed and fun-loving nature really had a chance to shine.

blueberry bliss

I love food. I love cooking. I love eating well and I love supporting our local farm community. This summer my family decided to take part in our first CSA, Community Supported Agriculture, at Heron Pond Farm. Our share consists of mostly veggies with a few seasonal fruits thrown in. So far we are loving all aspects of this new venture from the fresh fruits and veggies to the laid back and friendly employees. I just love knowing where my food comes from. The kids and I enjoy our weekly trip to the farm stand and were thrilled that as part of our share this week we got to pick our own blueberries. So glad I brought my camera.

skies of gray and clouds of white

You've probably heard this before, clouds can be a photographer's best friend and on this particular cool July morning they were in abundance with a side of drizzle. This sweet family whom I had never met, trusted me to make the call. I said let's go for it and they happily obliged. After we hung up and I drove closer to the beach it began to pour and I thought, what have I done!? But clearly there's a happy ending here. Luck was on our side that morning, because I no sooner pulled into the parking lot and the rain stopped and the overcast sky made colors pop and textures look so rich. I was in picture taking heaven. This sweet family was such a pleasure to meet. So easy going, so fun to be around. I thoroughly enjoyed our time together. It was a gem of a morning after all.

baby henry

A beautiful morning session filled with light and love. This sweet family recently welcomed a baby boy into the world. Just eight days fresh and perfect in every way. I was thrilled to be able to document this incredible and fleeting time for them. Big sister Margot has so much love for her baby brother. I was so honored to spend this precious time with this amazing foursome. Welcome, sweet Henry. You are so very loved.
